Presentation of Feasibility Study – April 17
On April 17, 2025, DOEN Participaties will present a feasibility study on impact investing in the cultural and creative sectors. You are warmly invited to attend the presentation and panel discussion, taking place from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Pakhuis de Zwijger (Piet Heinkade 179, Amsterdam), as part of Investing in Europe’s Creative Future, an event by EIT.
Researchers Arthur Steiner and Martijn Blom conducted the study on behalf of DOEN Participaties. The study reveals that impact investors are increasingly interested in investing in entrepreneurial cultural initiatives that use imagination to show that a different world is possible. At the same time, cultural entrepreneurs, designers, and artists are increasingly seeking alternative financing models beyond traditional subsidies and philanthropy. The report outlines a number of promising options.
The event will feature:
- A brief presentation of the feasibility study by Arthur Steiner and Martijn Blom.
- Panel discussion: impact investing in the cultural and creative sector – what are the opportunities and challenges?
- Mirjam Niessen (Impact Investing Principal, DOEN Participaties)
- Zineb Seghrouchni (Founder, DAR Cultural Agency)
- Florian Schneider (Founding Director, Institute for Creativity, University of Galway)
- Lisanne Bedaux (Senior Advisor for Culture and Heritage, Netherlands Commission for UNESCO)
