The winners of the Fair Future Challenge by The DOEN Foundation have been announced
Five entrepreneurs have each won a €100,000 cash prize in the Fair Future Challenge organized by the DOEN Foundation. The winners are: Cooloo from Wanssum, Goodoo from Amsterdam, Jafix.com from Breda, Monkeys by the Sea from Bergen op Zoom and The Lekker Company from Utrecht. Out of no less than 758 entries, their sustainable product or service was praised by the jury and selected as a winner.
During the Product Fair at the offices of the DOEN Foundation and the Postcode Lotterij (Postcode Lottery), 20 diverse finalists presented their products and services to a valuable audience, including investors, buyers and members of the press. At the end of the fair, the Fair Future Challenge reached its grand finale and the five €100,000 prizes were awarded.
Idriss Nor, Director of Participations at the DOEN Foundation explains: “All 20 finalists impressed me with their products and services. Despite their differences, they all make a positive impact on people and the planet. That makes them the better choice for consumers. Hopefully, the Fair Future Challenge has put the spotlight on these 20 finalists and will help them make a difference in the consumer market. I wholeheartedly congratulate the five winners on their €100,000 prize.”

First edition of the Fair Future Challenge
Everything we consume has a significant impact on people and the planet. Stichting DOEN, the fund of the Postcode Lotterij and the VriendenLoterij (Friends Lottery), aims to support entrepreneurs with sustainable and/or social consumer products or services. That’s why the DOEN Foundation organized the Fair Future Challenge. This new initiative is intended to give Dutch startups and scale-ups a boost and help them make a difference in the consumer market.
